Does DIV 1 have the same problem of Div 2. "points table not accurate due to teams not entering all their games played so FAR".
Collinsville, Giants, CCI, J-Rovers, Sub IX, can you all update your missing games so that we can see where you truly stand in the playoffs run.. Thing are heating up in DIV 2
I have been reading a lot of stuff around Playoffs and Chammpionship. With no dis-respect to Purdue, I believe the real test for a Champion in this league is to be able to win Travel Games. It is a little difficult to perform at an Optimum Level after waking up @ 6-7 AM in the morning, driving out for 3+ hours and trying to beat a good team on its homeground. I think this is one of the reasons why some of the Out of town teams when they come to Chicago in the Playoffs, end up losing in the 1st round of the Playoffs. For example St. Louis played two travel games against equal opposition this year, and lost both of them, while they are 7-0 on thier home ground. Purdue played AAA as a Travel Game this year, hardly a match up (no disrespect again). Purdue and St. Louis has a distinct advantage on thier Homegrounds, and Milwaukee Cricket Club is miles ahead in that advantage due to the turf wicket. Although I believe Purdue to be a great cricketing team, but I think the travel aspect helps them a lot and would shift some of that balance back to home teams during the playoffs. I also don't understand why Purdue cannot evan provide Cold Water (Usually free, or a couple of bucks) for visiting teams. I think I will always have a problem with some of them stating that they are a student teams and don't have resources. It might take 10-15 buck to provide some drinks for visiting teams. That comes out to 12-15 dollars per player for the whole season, please don't tell me that it is too muc for a student to spare that as a sign of hospitality for team driving out almost 4 hours just to make sure they have someone to play with during the summer. I am Sorry, but I have issues with that.
. I also don't understand why Purdue cannot evan provide Cold Water (Usually free, or a couple of bucks) for visiting teams.
We got water when we visited Purdue. Maybe you guys needed extra water since they piled on 300 plus in both the games against Rogers Park :) Just kidding man!
But you have a point. I don't think college teams should any problems providing drinks.
Yeah, we did recieve a call from Purdue the night before that they will not be able to provide water either and we should plan on bringing our own. Yeah we got blasted for 300 runs, but I am sure the story would go quite a bit differently if we had to face tem in one of the games here in Chicago.
Also for people trying to identify Tango's identity, this could be a big headway into this. Try to find out the few teams Purdue CC has provided any kind of refreshments, and that will narrow the search..:)
Sheks... Been doing fine my friend. Just not much time left from a busy schedule to blog. Will be on a little more as things have eased. Guys, any news on the Midwest world cup that is to be held on the upcoming holiday. I have tried mgt but no ans so far. what do you think..buzzzzy or just me?
Yeah we got blasted for 300 runs, but I am sure the story would go quite a bit differently if we had to face tem in one of the games here in Chicago.
There are a few teams like Muslim Gymkhana and Pak Gymkhana, who lost to Purdue this year, that I'd pick to beat Purdue in Chicago. But Rogers Park? Whew!
I was just checking the scores, and you lost both games by an average margin of 180 runs.
I'll still give you an A for trying and A+ for the positive attitude.
We got a walkover last week, when we wanted to play. While agreeing and looking to reschedule last weekend's game, we heard that both the HP grounds may not be available on account of mini-world cup during the long-weekend.

Ram, I thought you guys might go for it, as you have nothing to lose...JR is a good team...but you guys are pretty good too...but now Preetam says you'll be short of some players... :-)
No particular reason for support, I like the bunch of guys...stick together, play as a team...hey did I say they speak Tamil....even Mankesh..thats kinda strange..
Madew, I strongly believe that you guys will be in Div 1 next year...maybe we'll get to play against each other...that is if Challengers will let me play again... :-)
shekhs said... Adi, RP is a good team, so it will be a close game. But I have a feeling that you guys will pull it out...I smell a back to back fifty.. :-)
Night game...do I need to predict...? :-)
No doubt it will be a close game. Shekhs, if you are right with your predictions, I'll be bringing some drinks specially for you on Tuesday! Appreciate the vote of confidence though.
You guys are up for some drinks afterwards... right? I think I owe a few of you some anyway.
In case you and the Challengers part ways, let me remind you that we have a bunch of Gujju bhais in our team as well. A little incentive to consider Phoenix? ;-)
Let me not give it away, Shekhs. Lest there are some JR players lurking around somewhere. But keep the support dude we will prevail ( try to ). Samir you forgot the end phrase for that "Rambha saukyam..simran saukyam". Yup we all speak/understand Tamil and also eat thyru sapadu. Which by the way was banned quite a few seasons ago for its numbing effect. But surprisingly nobody enforces it when it springs its delectable head for every match.
I think Buchia ate too much Manikchand..that he let me open...
I ate too much Manikchand...and I started seeing the ball better..
:-)
I ask him for the ball every game....thought I'll show everybody some of my left arm spin.....he doesn't really agree with that...even with Manikchand..... :-)
Swetal, we will try. Rest assured we will not go down without a fight. Subbu, has not been among runs lately so I think it is that game now. So hopefully do what you can do and we will try to chip in. Shekhs, there are two things that eagles has always in abundance....Team meetings and Match Lunches. Outstation teams can vouch for that. Welcome anytime. What say Ram?
Preetam_M.. I gotta agree 'Sapadu' at our game PCC vs Eagles...was really awesome! THank you man..Loved the Curd rice and Pogal....We will try our best here at PCC too..to get some good food..Lately..we got a Gujju aunty cooking our lunch..she is been doing some fantastic Veg pulav and Raitha....
Yeh, I like the support. Shekhs on ICC. sorry Madhu but an injured lion is stil very dangeorus!!!! Look at the positives..Madhu. We get to both beat up on Shekhs on the night game. Adi, I am in for a couple drinks after the game. Find a nice club around the area. Isn't there a champs around there???
Shekhs - u will get a hangover if you eat our food.
Unfortunately for visiting teams, we usually get from outside...sorry Madew :)
Welcome to one of our home games and indulge in some gastronomic adventures.
Regarding this weekends game, we are the same Eagles as before, never mind our standing this season. Ask Collinsville, they'll tell you. One of the best games played in recent weeks.
Yes I hear you RUP..We would like to keep lion injured..brooding things in its cage..;-) No problem..common down..I have requested a special grass cutting..for the weekend..Hopefully it will be take care off..and taking heat into account its gonna be fast ground..!
coming saturday in Peoria (Mosville?) .... and then we have home games...our last game is a night game on a saturday...c'mon over...we'll have fun, frolic and food.
We have rotation among players for food and drinks. We usually have desi food but we have ordered pizza a couple of times this season as well. Its pretty convenient.
Most of the time we home cook. We use to burn the stoves a lot at the park but you can't do that at Hanover park grounds. So we will cook at home and bring to park or the Misses will cook and bring later. Man when i have to cook to take to park I am up at 5 am burning the stove We have had one a couple games at WP. If we can't cook then we buy food. there will always be something to eat at the ICC camp and Lots of drinks!!!
Samir calls it light! Basically we get Subway - bunch of veggie sandwiches and a few chicken ones. Either way, after the first weekend, I'm done with it. Been done with it for over 9 weeks now!! I want to play the Flames again, or Milw CC. They had awesome Biryani.
For the PCC Game, I think we brought food from Home, Ram. Especially if Madhu is talking about Curd rice and Pongal. Apart from the food and Smokes we also have a lot of Gatorade and Brufen. And if Lakshmi and GG are playing we are in complete stock of Manick's too. Samir, Lakshmi is taking a sabbatical this year.
adi my man i agree with u on MCC food comment good Biryani But flames i totally disgree with u yusuf bhai biryani is just like plain yellow rice (sorry yusuf bhai) & i don't think so flame will provide u food this year(just my gut feeling or things i am hearing).
Preetam.. Yeah I think it did tasted like home made man..and also there this great curry with Capsicum, potato and stuff..It was yummy..one of the best..!
We use to have a coach named Sharma short fair guy at Marredpally nets (right in front of shenoy nursing home)..I am guessing he is the one I cannot recollect his first name..we always called coach sharma Sir:)
If we playing at WP, one of the guys goes to Rajun-Cajun on 53rd and something (8 mins away) and gets food.....I for one luv the desi food from there. IF we are at HP, salt n peppa offcourse. When we travel, I hope and pray the hosting team does not feed us Pizza :)
And whoever said whatever about Manikchand....back off ...:).. Do not bad mouth that stuff ......
Madhu, Sharma used to be the captain of Continental Cricket Club before me. He then became a manager for the junior state teams etc. Very active in Hyd Cricket politics ( Shiv's group ). Well, his son is coming over to school at Peoria. Thought I could introduce you to him. Is that ok.
swet, How 'bout the wildcats... :-) They were the hosts...pretended to be on the phone with the food person...for a while, then put us on the phone with the food guy...
and then later split our pizza with us...coz their food never came.. :-)
ps: This is a joke guys...please dont take it seriously..they ordered food, but I guess got stood up...didnt get their food delivered..
Thanks for the Grading on trying and enthusiasm. I appreaite it, if only other bloggers could think more like you.
Shiraz, don't mention it ;)
Yes, I believe that in Division 1 any team can beat any other team,
I think in any sport, anyone has a chance to beat anyone. For instance, if I get into the ring with Mike Tyson, there is a slight chance of me kneeing him in the balls, then knocking him out. Possible, not probable. But you won't see me making excuses if I lose to him, especially if he beats the living shit out of me, the way Purdue did to Rogers Park....TWICE
The food that we got for u guyz was not home cooked, but by a person who used to be a cook at Lemont Temple. He started a catering service and is doing this full time. He turned out to be very expensive for the quantity that was provided...
Romeen.. One my good friends Karthik in DC said...If your boss gives u work from all directions and keeps u busy through the day.. its call "'Kam'Sutra" at work....Looks like u had one of those..:)
Madew, the ploy didn't work and we went thru couple of post-match strategy sessions - to decide the menu for our next match in the future. Looks like it may not happen next year!
Guys, Purdue has always provided drinking water to visiting teams, and this year we provide gatorade as well. The only thing we do not provide is food. We are constantly trying to improve the way our club is run, and with the limited resources we have - its tough.
Shiraz - we respect your team, you guys are a jovial bunch. I was the one who called you before the game and I did not mention anything about drinks. You might have misunderstood me then. Hopefully this clears things out.
I don't know if Purdue still plays in the same ground next to the airport. If so, you guys need to arrange for some shade and a bench or something. The day we played there a few years ago was absolute torture. I am sure you guys can afford a tent or something. Ram, i am sure it is his bad day. Every wk has some days that just dont go their way. Yeah! if it is a different day I will be in for the blog party. How many guys are going to watch Rush hour 3 ? sorry, it didnt get good reviews.
ThickEdge said... Sidetrack poll: How many of you have played Against/With international cricketers ( even ex int cricketers) in a match ? List the names and the match please. *********************************
So who comes into the above bracket ? I have played with some.
So have I. Played against - Franklyn Rose, Cameron Cuffy, Jr Murray, Vijay Dahiya, Gunawardene, Akash Chopra, Rohan Gavaskar a couple years back in LA.
Preetam.. Just a heads up too..Mossville Ground doesn't have any shade also in the pavilion...We do have a little tent that we try to pitch now then for our games...and doesn't hold up to the wind much...:)We have to get good strudy ones like SIUE has or Chicago Cricket Club had..SIUE said they got em at Shopco..Our only shopco in Peoria closed down little while ago...Ihaven't doen reseach enough..to get good ones..Any bloggers have websites..?but we do have a nice little cafeteria sort of....where you can go and relax before you can get back on the field for second innings...Good luck to you guys this weekend..!
Thx for the heads up, Madhu. We will try to take our own tents ( although it becomes a 6 man 1 hour task to get the darn thing right. Every time ). They should change the "how many guys does it take to change a light bulb" to "how many eagles does it take to set up a tent". How far is Mossville from Peoria ? Good luck to you too ?
The one tent I saw and talking about was pretty easy...It was light hallow alum and it was kinda like a foldalbe and legs just pop out...It was cool..5 mins to setp max..One guy can unfold..but atleast 2 guys to prop it up..Any SIUE guys..give us more info..or any bloggers have a one I am talking about..let us know details..where u purchased from pelase?
Muslim Gymkhana Wildcats - muslim (CATS going down) Purdue University CC United - purdue will beat DEHYDRATED united Flames Royals - flames STL Bears - STL (or might be walkover) Capitol Milwaukee - capitol (thank to one man show of satha and no show of asif) Phoenix Rogers Park - Phoenix but RP will be well hydrated this time at WP.
tango, sheky, adi, romeen and other? lets get it on
So long boys! Have a good weekend everybody. All batsmen get good knocks. All bowlers uproot some timber. All umpires, please favor the batsmen. And all cricketers have friendly matches.
The 2 tents we have are 10 by 10 feet. Cost me 70 bucks each and I had gotten them from Sports authority. (this will be a good time to buy as they may be on sale).
Each tent takes less than 3 mins to set up; 4 guys at 4 ends. We have had these for 2+ years now....been very happy with them. They withstand windy conditions very well.
remembee while back i told you CATS might be peaking too early? i have this feeling that is happening. i hope CATS can turn things around. last thing we need is out of form teams in play offs. we laready have enough bad teams.
ASMAR....i was trying to find your match report on purdue game. or did you not write one because of 350 and dehydration?
man i have this poster in my office which says "its not how you play the game but how you place the blame" i will send a copy to your club email address. you all should have. :)))))))
Romeen said... NW, Losing faith in us, huh, buddy? :) Dont blame you, we've been sucking a bit lately. We hope to turn in a good performance tomorrow.
I have faith in you guys. You may not have done too well in the AL tourney so far, but your Div 1 season has been great. I'm keeping the faith with the Cats. Hopefully you guys will only lose 1 more game, and that's the last game of the season. It's meaningless for you guys, so what do you care?? ;-)

Never heard about such injuries with Indian Sub-Continent players ??
Tango bhai .. krupya aap yahan pe diya jalaiye ... bole to .. please throw light on this topic ...
I mean to ask .. there have hardly been instances with Indian Sub continent players .. whey they carry non-cricket related injuries ...
Why so ??

It really has nothing to do with support for any team, I just thought ICC might pull this one out, given the situation..
I learned little bit of Tamil while playing with Eagles...."rambha saukiam"? :)
Thats worse than me speaking Gujarati....Samir..
:-)
No problem Sheks...I was just kiddin' man..May the best team WIN on a given day...Its alwyas been our PCC way...Only time wil tell..:)
Madew
Madew,
I strongly believe that you guys will be in Div 1 next year...maybe we'll get to play against each other...that is if Challengers will let me play again... :-)
Madhu,
Remember Shekh's lack of support! Make sure to make him "pay" during our night game. :-) We will need a big one from you sir.
shekhs said...
Adi,
RP is a good team, so it will be a close game.
Shekhs,
I don't think challengers will let you play again. You first predicted 'Hor...'in the night game :-) jk!!
Asmar
Shekhs,
In case you and the Challengers part ways, let me remind you that we have a bunch of Gujju bhais in our team as well. A little incentive to consider Phoenix? ;-)
Sure Adi, we'll hang after our game...
Madew, can you stay late or you have to leave right away?
Aditya said...

Adi,
Never ask when your intentions are good, JUST DO IT!!! :)
You may have a point there Asmar.....maybe I need to delete that comment..
:-)
shekhs said...
Predictions - Night games
Rivercity vs. Blues - Blues
Challengers Vs. Horizon - Hor...no wait a minute.. Challengers
Rockers Pak Gymkhana - Pak
Delete away Shekhs! :-)

Most of our regular players though are not available this weekend
------------
Dude, come on man....we hoping you gonna beat JR man....come on and help us out :)
Not that it will matter if we don't do what we need to do against Q.C.
Are you trying to get me into trouble Adi... ?
Preetam,
I'm always up for some Sapadu myself....I live to eat...
Will have to stop by one of your games next time..
Shekhs, I think you mouthed off enough the other nite at Champs....U in trouble anyway....:) :) :) :)
Why do you think I put the comment.."if Challengers let me play" :-)
Oh yeah...I'm in deep trouble..
C'mon Shekhs. I would never do that! Not after you've voiced your open support for us, and for me!
Dude, they let you open. How much more trouble can you get in? :-)
But I guess now that you are scoring consistently, they are going to have to find another way to get you in trouble.... maybe more bowling??
What say Ram?
there's gotta be somthing in Manikchand :)
Shekhs, can we put in 2 orders of that Manikchand?
1 for our keeper who needs to sight the ball better! Just kidding Sam, last 2 games you've been in w-keeping form.
1 for our captain, so that he lets me bowl! Not kidding on this one.
Bonds meet Buchia. Steroids meet M-chand.
So, should we test for Manikchand and ban that substance as a league? Steroids I'm not worried about, Manikchand I am.
Madew
PCC
Sheks we will hang out...Its always fun to hang out with Challs..
M
Madhu... you got some good Gujju aunties supporting your team. We got a bunch of Gujjus on our team, but no food!
Oh no..we opened a whle new can of worms here didnt we...
If I had the luxury of 2 more manikchands, I would have used it myself...would have given 2 more to my skipper, and bowled an over or two... :-)
Adi..
She does charge us but..I do think for quantity and quality..its worth money spent..
M
Yeh, I like the support. Shekhs on ICC.
sorry Madhu but an injured lion is stil very dangeorus!!!!
Look at the positives..Madhu. We get to both beat up on Shekhs on the night game.
Adi, I am in for a couple drinks after the game. Find a nice club around the area. Isn't there a champs around there???
You know what, this is a good topic..
How does every team arrange for food..?
Asmar, how do you guys organize your Lunch?
Adi/ Samir..you guys?
Madew already talked about the Gujju Aunty..
Rup, you guys grill every game..or just bring food?
Swet, what do you guys do?
Looking forward to a good game..
Madew
So, Drink Beer, Eat Eagles' Food and chew Manichand...right?
That'll do it for me...
When's your next game again? :-)
if u smoke, we'll give some smokes too :)
coming saturday in Peoria (Mosville?) .... and then we have home games...our last game is a night game on a saturday...c'mon over...we'll have fun, frolic and food.
Ram,
How's Lakshmi doing? Haven't seen him around this year. I'm sure he's loaded with smokes :)
Shekhs,
We have rotation among players for food and drinks. We usually have desi food but we have ordered pizza a couple of times this season as well. Its pretty convenient.
Asmar
Mossville? I think I'll let my buddy Madhu have my share of the sapadu...
Thanks Ram anyways for the offer...will try to stop by for one of the games..
So far we've been ordering Subway to stay light since most of our games are either first 45 overs fielding or chasing 200+ :)
Asmar,
I was trying to figure out the best lunch...and then crash for that game.. :-)
Most of the time we home cook.
We use to burn the stoves a lot at the park but you can't do that at Hanover park grounds. So we will cook at home and bring to park or the Misses will cook and bring later.
Man when i have to cook to take to park I am up at 5 am burning the stove
We have had one a couple games at WP.
Rup, Shekhs, others...
So, we are in for some post-match debauchery this Tuesday.
Remind me to cancel the Wed early morning meetings!!!
Madhu,
Did you play cricket in hyd ? which team ? Have you heard about a guy called radheshaym Sharma ?
Like i said i am up for a couple??? of drinks. I am on Vacation wednesday so i got time!!! do you??
adi my man i agree with u on MCC food comment good Biryani But flames i totally disgree with u yusuf bhai biryani is just like plain yellow rice (sorry yusuf bhai) & i don't think so flame will provide u food this year(just my gut feeling or things i am hearing).
who is playing today in AL night tourney?
looking from the old post i got a fan who is almost using my nick .....Hmmmmmm
looks like tango is from maybe 3 teams (Phoenix,Challengers & united).
Ganguly was again misjudged by the umpire :) Mark Prior should start eating Manikchand (dropped Tendulkar's catch).
India did well on the 1st day, still long way to go I think.
Shekhs,
If we playing at WP, one of the guys goes to Rajun-Cajun on 53rd and something (8 mins away) and gets food.....I for one luv the desi food from there. IF we are at HP, salt n peppa offcourse. When we travel, I hope and pray the hosting team does not feed us Pizza :)
And whoever said whatever about Manikchand....back off ...:).. Do not bad mouth that stuff ......
Madhu,
Sharma used to be the captain of Continental Cricket Club before me. He then became a manager for the junior state teams etc. Very active in Hyd Cricket politics ( Shiv's group ).
Well, his son is coming over to school at Peoria. Thought I could introduce you to him. Is that ok.
Shekhs, No posts from Romeen today...I think either he is Tango or he is getting laid ..or well, I dont even wanna go there.......
"Do not bad mouth that stuff..."
Such irony Swetal.
swet,
How 'bout the wildcats... :-)
They were the hosts...pretended to be on the phone with the food person...for a while, then put us on the phone with the food guy...
and then later split our pizza with us...coz their food never came.. :-)
ps: This is a joke guys...please dont take it seriously..they ordered food, but I guess got stood up...didnt get their food delivered..
Oh yeah..Manikchand's the SH#$!
I always thought Romeen was Tango....until our buddy Tango sliped yesterday...
Whatever he is doing...seems like more important than bloggin.. :-)
And where's Tango today?
*sliped* - slipped
Defintely..Preetam..if he needs any help around here..I would be more than glad to help him..sure please..don't hesitate..
cheers
Madhu
No posts from Romeen today...I think either he is Tango or he is getting laid .
And why couldn't it be both? You think the Tango can't get laid?
looks like tango is from maybe 3 teams (Phoenix,Challengers & united).
Nice, I wonder what Aditya, Mehul and Tushar might have to say about that.
I always thought Romeen was Tango....until our buddy Tango sliped yesterday..
Sheky, I don't slip very often, so you might want to reconsider all your assumptions.
Tango,
Your analogy takes it a bit too far. Beating Purdue is NOT like beating Tyson.
No one is making any excuses about the losses. And we'll never know if you ever make excuses, because we don't know who you are.
If you don't know who am I, then how can you come up with the conclusion that my analogy of beating Mike Tyson is too far-fetched?
Anyway, how about a Bangladesh - Australia analogy? You thing that one might be close enough?
*am I = I am
*thing = Think
Whew! Hard to type when your eating pizza.
Tango,
I still don't think the analogy is close, but Bangladesh did beat Australia more than a couple times. They also knocked India out of the world cup.
Asmar
Swetal, Rajun-Cajun is good stuff...Isn't it owned by an Indian from Kenya/Uganda? Good lunch buffet...
Madew,
The food that we got for u guyz was not home cooked, but by a person who used to be a cook at Lemont Temple. He started a catering service and is doing this full time. He turned out to be very expensive for the quantity that was provided...
Seems like you guys had some fun blogging yesterday.
I had a rough day, nothing close to what swetal was imagining.
Romeen..
One my good friends Karthik in DC said...If your boss gives u work from all directions and keeps u busy through the day.. its call "'Kam'Sutra" at work....Looks like u had one of those..:)
Madew
Ram,
It was good food man..Neverthless..Thank you! Eagles the Hosts..Ur ploy of getting us full b4 our bowlings innings didn't work..:)
Cheers
Madew
Madew,
You are right, it was pretty much one of those days. Also, it didnt help that I'm my own boss.
hey madhu, when are you visiting chicago again?
Ram, are you guys hanging out tonite?
I dont think we've ever met, have we?
Romeen,
Will be there on the 14th Aug for our night game..with Challs..would be nice to see all of you guys..!
Madew
I'll try and make it for that one.
where's everybody this morning?
Romeen, just woke up dude.
the plan is to hang out at Chasers tonite...we both have not yet met...will u be able to make it today to Chasers.
Madew, the ploy didn't work and we went thru couple of post-match strategy sessions - to decide the menu for our next match in the future. Looks like it may not happen next year!
hi guys,
I got to pull out this evening. Can't make it. Have fun tonite and will try and make it next time.
SORRRY !
-s
Shekhs,
I don't see Chasers in Schaumburg area, where is it?
ram,
sorry, i cant make it tonite.
have fun!
Kumble is on 86....Sreesanth seems to be freeing his arms...what do you guys think will kumble get to his hundred ?
Did you see prior's keeping? 33 Byes and 13 Leg Byes....damn!
Preetam - You are better than Prior!
sorry fellas...lot of meetings this morning...so much for a friday..
What up Cricketers? Ready for the weekend?
All batsmen...better make some runs this weekend...even Kumble got a hundred...no excuses now..
Ram,
Chasers is in Des Plaines...
We dont have many people for tonite....you want to reschedule this?
Anybody else?
Reschedule ? fine with me...alright...folks, today's blog nite stands rescheduled to a later date
I'll try to make it for next weeks AL game...wud u be there Shekhs?
AL game on Tuesday?
I'm playing Ram... ;-)
Guys,
Purdue has always provided drinking water to visiting teams, and this year we provide gatorade as well.
Chintan Shah
PUCC
Oh! I am hoping to be there to cheer you Shekhs...
CD,
Are you Tango? :-)
Cool Ram, see you on tuesday..thanks for the support..

Against/With international cricketers ( even ex int cricketers) in a match ?
List the names and the match please.

So who comes into the above bracket ? I have played with some.
So have I. Played against - Franklyn Rose, Cameron Cuffy, Jr Murray, Vijay Dahiya, Gunawardene, Akash Chopra, Rohan Gavaskar a couple years back in LA.
-Asmar
Cheers
Madew
Thx for the heads up, Madhu. We will try to take our own tents ( although it becomes a 6 man 1 hour task to get the darn thing right. Every time ). They should change the "how many guys does it take to change a light bulb" to "how many eagles does it take to set up a tent".
How far is Mossville from Peoria ?
Good luck to you too ?
Well, i have played with:
Noel "who" david (with) - Sheeshmahal tourney/ HCA
VVS (against)- HCA
Raju ( with/against) - HCA
Azhar ( with/ against ) - HCA
Arun lal (against) - Sheesh mahal
Arshad Ayub ( against ) - HCA
MV Narasimha rao (against) - HCA
JJ Whitaker ( england) ( against )-Exhibition
Damn that is a good list. Beat that Ram.
Preetam,
Very impressive list..!
Cheers
Madhu
lets see for this weekend,
Muslim Gymkhana Wildcats - muslim (CATS going down)
Purdue University CC United - purdue will beat DEHYDRATED united
Flames Royals - flames
STL Bears - STL (or might be walkover)
Capitol Milwaukee - capitol (thank to one man show of satha and no show of asif)
Phoenix Rogers Park - Phoenix but RP will be well hydrated this time at WP.
tango, sheky, adi, romeen and other? lets get it on
Flames and Capitol will lose. Phoenix game will be very close.
ND,
Our game is in Heritage Park. You are damn right we will be 'hydrated'...we will have our own drinks.
-Asmar
So long boys!
Have a good weekend everybody.
All batsmen get good knocks.
All bowlers uproot some timber.
All umpires, please favor the batsmen.
And all cricketers have friendly matches.
-preetam
Ram,
I shall abstain from practice today. Party to go to. See you tomorrow. Pick me up for the game ?
Guys,
The 2 tents we have are 10 by 10 feet.
-s
NW,
There you go. We've been missing that spark in the blogs lately. Tango needs company. Remember, it takes two to ...
PS. Phoenix vs RP is at Heritage park, or else I will be at the wrong game!
1. Rivercity will not score more than 120.
2. There will be at least 7 sixes scored by MG
3. One of the MG bowlers will take three wickets or more
4. Noone from MG will be "bowled" (played on, etc).
Romo, just looked at the MG vs Rivercity card.
Looks like I got 1 & 3 right, and 2 & 4 wrong. This round of predicitons goes 2-2. First round still be to decided.
Next round of predictions has to come from you.
NW,
Losing faith in us, huh, buddy? :)
Dont blame you, we've been sucking a bit lately. We hope to turn in a good performance tomorrow.
Where's your partner tango, we need the whole 'ghost and the darkness' thing going on again.
OK Adi, you are on kid.
I'll pick an AL game for next week and come up with something creative.
Preetam, please excuse my ignorance, what team do you play for?
Your comments are very interesting, just getting to know some new people.
romeen,
remembee while back i told you CATS might be peaking too early? i have this feeling that is happening. i hope CATS can turn things around. last thing we need is out of form teams in play offs. we laready have enough bad teams.
ASMAR....i was trying to find your match report on purdue game. or did you not write one because of 350 and dehydration?
man i have this poster in my office which says "its not how you play the game but how you place the blame" i will send a copy to your club email address. you all should have. :)))))))
NW, back to your funny ways again. And who are the "bad/out of form" teams that might make the playoffs?
Swetal,
Do you what they are called? (brand name or model name) give us the info, see if can locate em through the web..
Cheers
Madew
*know
Couple of key games in Div 1 that will have some major implications on the play-off picture.
MG vs Cats
Purdue vs United
Phoenix vs RP
For our sakes, I hope Cats and Purdue. I like the MG and United guys, but sorry, it's dog eat dog world right now!
guys, new thread, please migrate.

I have faith in you guys. You may not have done too well in the AL tourney so far, but your Div 1 season has been great. I'm keeping the faith with the Cats. Hopefully you guys will only lose 1 more game, and that's the last game of the season. It's meaningless for you guys, so what do you care?? ;-)
