The previous one was a poor attempt at saying I feel like painting the town red tonight, didnt come out right though. I dont think they do that in spanish, I think they just call it having fun !

Its a pity Shekhs that you cant tell where the stitches are. I guess I'm gonna have to call Satish and ask him to stop practicing those beamers at that cardboard cutout I made of you for him.

So far youre still on I think - check under "curr week schedules" usually, for changes etc. Samarth was supposed to umpire tomorrow too, but he's been moved off - I think we ended up with too many umpires tomorrow (first time in history probably :-) If there's a change Iam sure Marghoob-bhai will call you (and if you have problems making it, please call him :-)
BTW, its a day/night game youre doing tomorrow, right? That is, a 4-5 pm start or whatever, rather than a 7pm start? Iam gonna have to confirm what time Iam umpiring too... its often a 9am start before a d/n game, but this is CCI, a travelling team, and they usually play at 11am... so its all a bit confusing :-)
feet leaves the ground can also be taken in a different approach Cap, but my cap is going to lead the chart to put more pressure on me ...., its nice to see people like Tango n CMC talking about me, but there is a long way to go before the season comes to a close so let´s c.. C8W: Thanks for the update.
naren, have fun umpiring tomorrow. dont forget to warm up and stretch before the game, you may have to run very hard after a controversial decision :) c8w, see you later.
Your umpire is Sridhar, BTW. And no, he doesnt drink, so youre out of luck there. (As for his jellybean or manikchand intake, youd have to consult Preetam). *************** You can get him drunk with the laws or better yet....some thyru sapadu. Good luck everyone....me will sit on my ass this weekend. Might be getting a walkover. Oh well!! with the way we are playing this might be the only way we can get some points on the board.
Romeen/Preetam: Did you guys go see the Bourne Ultimatum ? If you didn't get off thou assses and go see it ....mind blowing. Up until now, Mad Max, Star Wars, Matrix, Lord of the Rings were my top trilogy movies....After yesterday, The Bourne Trology ranks in the top 2 for me :). Might be cause I had read all 3 books when I was 18/20 and allways wondered why they didn't make movies on them and when they finally did, I thought they did a kick tail job...Matt Damon is a Rock Star.
Ramsundar Lakshminarayanan said... 144 comments even b4 the first ball is bowled this weekend! Nice job Shekhs and Romeen -------------------------------- Thanks, we try you know :)
Romeen, Shekhs, and two other people kudos to you. The blog is lively only because of you. Shekhs i'm going to call your boss, romeen i don't know how you find so much time in your hand. swetal is seth. and no offense to rest of the people.
Swetal, Saw BU on friday 2nd show. Damn! that was one heck of a movie. Mine was the biggest whistle after the fight with the Moroccon (Desh). The bourne trilogy, for me, stands on par with the Lord of the Rings series. Great movie guys.
I'll let Sheky do the summary (he deserves it). Just wanted to say that the Wildcats thought they had done well to restrict the Challengers for 185, when they came back and skittled out the WC for 105. Sanjay Patel took 3 wickets in one over! Awesome performance by the challengers!! Hats off to you guys.
Tango, all your predictions came true, Challengers batted first and Sanjay was a huge factor.
Congrats guys. And thanks for the pizza. Next time drinks are on us.
damn...looks like the Peoria CC vs IIT cc was exactly what everyone expected it to be as a nail biter all the way till the end..
Well Done PCC on a great win...and I dont want to be pre-mature in doing this but I would like to be one of the first to congratulat you guys on advancing to Division one next year. Good luck with Illinois cc and the rest of the games this regular season.......a match report on your game against IIT cc at the earliest is much appreciated.
Aditya said... Firstly, Wildcats vs Challengers is going to be a cracker of a game. It's so difficult to bet against the cats, but I'm going to do that this time and be brave or stupid!
Challengers,
Thanks for proving me "brave" rather than stupid! Congrats on a good win against a red-hot team!
Does anyone know what the result was for the Pak Gymkhana and MCC game? It says Pak lost in the weekly summary but the scorecard says it was rained out. Can anyone confirm??
The Bears won the toss and chose to bat. From the first ball Priyank and Arun hit the right lengths and kept the bears openers in check. In the 3rd over, Priyank joined the party early by inducing an edge to the keeper. Arun got into the act as well and got the other opener caught at mid-off shortly afterwards. With 2 wickets down, and not too many runs on the board after 10 overs, the new batsman were looking to get their eye in and rotate strike. However, Nikunj had other ideas and took two wickets in his first over after coming on for Arun. The first was the dangerous Adil, caught at midwicket. The other was a regulation catch to the keeper. With their top 4 batsman back in the proverbial hut, the pressure was on and Phoenix didn't let up. The captain decided to get into the act by clipping the top of middle stump with a vicious leg cutter, and then getting another batsman caught and bowled. The spinners mopped up the remaining 4 wickets with 2 stumpings and 2 catches. Samir had a brilliant day behind the stumps with 2 stumpings, 3 catches, and no drops or byes if I recall correctly. One of the batsman for the Bears had a good knock, but ran out of partners and was the last wicket to fall.
With a relatively low target of 105 to chase, it looked more like a formality of getting the game completed before any rain. But the Bears had other ideas. They bowled their hearts out, and special mention must go to Adil. The other opening bowler too bowled well and troubled the Phoenix top order batsman. Shiva got out to an inside edge onto the wickets, Samir skied a catch, and Mitul was out lbw. The score read something like 37/3 in 13 overs. With the rains threatening, the first target became 23 runs in 7 overs. Venu and I took our time to get settled in and rotated singles. But a rush of blood for Venu led to a slog shot resulting in another inside edge onto the stumps. In came our crisis man, DC. Sensible batting between DC and I got the score over 60 in the 18th over. With one target met, it was up to DC and I to ensure we finished off the game with little fuss. But, there was one more hiccup as the cover fielder took a sharp catch off DC. With only 20 odd runs remaining, the new batsman Priyank kept me company and we finished off the game in the 25th over.
The Bears fought hard, but in the end 105 was too small a score to defend. Kudos to them for staying in the game and really giving us a couple of things to think about as we take on Playoff contenders Rogers Park next week. Thanks to Shiraz for umpiring and doing a good job at it.
Match Report – Challengers Vs. Wildcats – 08/05/2007 WP # 4
Challengers won by 80 runs!
After spending about an hour or so clearing up the field and fixing the mat after the downpour from the previous nite, we decided to reduce the game to 40 over a side.
Challengers won the toss and decided to bat….surprise!!
The openers started off pretty fluently, picking quick singles and doubles and the odd boundaries. Satish looked very dangerous right from the ball 1. He was shaping the ball to move out at good pace and it wasn’t easy to score off of him at all. Satish didn’t get much help from the other side, so runs were coming freely from the other side. Challengers looked pretty good at 39 for no loss in 7 overs, and then disaster struck as Darshan got runout. Challengers lost a coupla wickets in succession which put them in a very precarious situation. Tushar(59) and Mahesh(23) steadied the ship, by some intelligent batting, picked singles and doubles and hit the odd boundaries. They forced Romeen to take Naren out of the attack by hitting 17(IIRC) runs of an over. When things started looking good for Challengers, Sanjay surprised Mahesh and got him caught at point. With the humidity and the heat index going up, Tushar was already drained, played a lazy shot to be caught at point off of Sanjay. Challengers were 152/5 with 9 overs to go, still were looking good. But some smart bowling from the cats and not so smart batting from Challengers got them bundled for 185 in 37 overs.
Wildcats started disastrously, when Sanjay got 3 wickets in 4 balls to reduce Wildcats to 5/3(IIRC). Romeen (40 or 50 odd runs IIRC) played some exquisite drives and along with Satish started the repair job. The pair seemed to take control of the situation but then Rupesh stunned the cats by taking a brilliant return catch to dismiss Satish.
Nilesh made Romeen nick a ball to the keeper after a few overs and the Cats didn’t offer much of a resistance after that.
Got to mention the lion hearted Sanjay who pretty much gave us the momentum with that one astounding over. He got hurt trying to stop a full blooded drive from Romeen, but still kept bowling.
A good win for Challengers, but still need to do a lot of work in the batting department. Kudos to Wildcats for being such a good host! PS: We are planning to hire Tango as out Psychological consultant.
Sheks, Good summary except for one glaring error. I wish I had made 40-50! I made only 21, just seemed like I stayed there forever. :) Good tight bowling, and inability to place the ball well on my part.
Anyways, see you tomorrow. We'll get some drinks after the game. Maybe we can get some of the united/purdue guys to go with us too. Swet has confrimed already.
Yeah, I got that prediction correct. I will put up predictions shortly. I've been so busy lately, I just haven't had much of an opporunity to get on the blogs.
Thanks. Even I was hoping to see some "good" news on the scores!! The rankings are quite closely bunched up right now from 6-10 with all of us around 20-22 points. Just makes the end of the season that much more exciting.
How's the golf going? I hear Friday is a great day to play golf!!! Make sure you play 2-3 full round and enjoy yourself before our game on Saturday. If I remember correctly, that was a tradition you'd started last year. :-)
See you on the weekend and lets hope there isn't any rain.
Sakhir of Advancers is doing a great job as an allrounder ... 400+ runs and 18 wickets ... Know in Div 2 .. each team is not playing all other teams ... but even then consistency is a big factor ...
The thought came to my mind looking at Sakhir's stats ... I will look into Div1 n Div2 stats and let you know other towering personalities of the MWCC 2007 so far .. :)
Alpesh, I want to add another category to the awards you mentioned - Most under-rated player - or at least for blogging purposes.
There are so many people who play so well consistently, but aren't recognized as much.
One such example is Priyank Patel (Phoenix). He is an extremely consistent bowler, has a low economy rate, has got wickets, has a good temperament, and is a very handy batsman.
Another such example could be Naren, but I've already shed some light on him!!! :-)
Adi, Me being a secret or not i dont mind, may be people start looking at how i perform a bit more than usual. If some one would have said that i would get 15 wickets in 7 matches for cats at the start of the season i would have felt i did what my team asked for so, but u know the final straw would be becoming a better bowler n helping my team to achieve something this year, as u said i am a simple bowler.. may be u could teach me a bit too..
Tango, there's enough love to go around for everybody, I'm a hippie at heart you know :) cmc, thanks for calling me romeo, havent been called that in a while.
Adi, I think the most underrated player in our league is Guddu (Irfan). He's an excellent timer of the ball, a smart bowler and a great fielder, but most of all, a gem of a guy. For some reason, not many people talk about him that much, maybe cuz he's so down to earth and keeps a low profile.
If you're looking for me to teach you, then you're taking a few steps backwards! Keeping it simple is the best thing to do... batting or bowling! Ask your cappie... he's back to his form from yester-years!
If anything, you've helped me with my attempt at bowling with the few tips you've given me. Thanks, coz those really helped. But there is so much more to go for me.... ;-)
I cannot rate other players but there are two in my team who deserve a lot more than they usually get. Subbu - A fantastic striker of the ball and a good bowler. GG - another good striker who gets out to some of the most stupendous catches.
Good point, and the crux of my motivation behind my question! Unfortunately, it's mainly teammates who will recognize under-rated players. That is why I ask, because we should definitely get those names out there a little bit more. Good players deserve kudos.

Anyone's keeping Jelly beans in the pocket this week? :)
C8W do u have any info if the match between Spears n Fenders is a night game tomorrow ?
I might keep some for Shekhs unless he gets out early ;-)
I think I'm bringing some jelly beans this weekend....thought I'll share some with my buddy Romeen..

how about u ppl sameer any jelly´s for the Bears...
and Naren too.. :-)
Shekhs, unlike Zaheer, I prefer the pink ones! :)
and i'm gonna need some stimulants in the candy, am on call the previous night.
So did anybody get busted @ work....for blogging?
Thats a good topic..
don't know abt for Bears, but for sure for you guys since it's our last match scheduled with you guys :)
you're funny Romeen..
I'll bring some pink ones for ya..
I'm relying heavily on alt+tab (god bless Microsoft!)
people do ask me at work what I'm doing. (cuz they've never seen me so focussed otherwise ;))
I usually spin a yarn, a different one everytime.
Naren,
How's the practice yesterday?
yeah, me too Samir...
alt+tab...
and
blog+pray
I can't even laugh out loud...
Sameer buddy it would be too late for u if its going to be at the end of the season...
so guys, maybe you've already seen this before. But while watching youtube cricket videos on call last nite, I stumbled upon this one video where gilchrist was 'miked up', I thought it was pretty cool. Check it out if you can.
you must be the king in spinning all kinds of stuff..Romeen...
I feel like you can tak your way out of anything..
Samir, practice is just an excuse for what follows later.
A binge session that involves the fattiest food man ever created.
did you ever see the one where Sangakkara sledges Pollock, when Pollock was the captain for SA?
I thought that was hilarious..
So shekhs, hows the healing coming along?
Sangakkara is the man, he's so articulate. Gilchrist and he are my 2 fav players, its weird though that both are WK batsmen.
and yeah, I have seen that one. So clean and funny, and effective.
I think we got better practice sessions Romeen..
we drink beer...but we try to stay healthy and drink only Bud light...
:-)
Its all healed up...My wife took the stitches out yesterday...
you can't even tell..
hahah, true! For us, being in mid 30's, practice would be always a motivation :)
yeah, we tried asking for 'diet paya' at pepper and salt. They are not allowing any MCC players there anymore.
Its a pity Shekhs that you cant tell where the stitches are. I guess I'm gonna have to call Satish and ask him to stop practicing those beamers at that cardboard cutout I made of you for him.
Satish likes a visible target, you know :)
lol Romeen..
you have any plans for the weekend besides the game on sunday?
Samir, lets not talk about age again. Its getting old. ha ha.
Gotta go guys, good luck to everyone for this week's match.
Here's a joke (on Happy Friday)
Read from top (before the marriage), Read from bottom (after the marriage)
He: Yes. At last. It was so hard to wait.
She: Do you want me to leave?
He: NO! Don't even think about it.
She: Do you love me?
He: Of course!
She: Have you ever cheated on me?
He: NO! Why you even asking?
She: Will you kiss me?
He: Yes!
She: Will you hit me?
He: No way! I'm not such kind of person!
She: Can I trust you?
He: Yes.
A game on saturday, work saturday nite, game on sunday. Free sunday nite, wanna do something? Atleast one of us will be celebrating.
I was just gonna say..
do oyu need me leave a mark..so that oyu guys can bump it..
that'll be nice..
I think my wife will divorce me ....last week was the last straw..
naren, paya out of your system yet?
yeah, lets try to hang a bit after the game...
dont get you that often..
Shekhs, I think she might like the new you, all rugged and with scars and stuff. Try it out man.
so thats Naren's secret - Paya..
you know what Paya means in Malayalam?
Ok, how do we get tango, cmc, swet, adi and all back?
we should all carry pagers or something.
are you giving me ideas to scare my kids...?
enlighten us
yeah...we need to get a paging system plugged into the blog..
you've been way too much at the hospital..
kids will love it too, its almost halloween time.
Paya - Straw mat, people use it to sleep or nap...
i know pagers are so lame, when I'm out people are like, dude, cant you afford a cellphone? who carries pagers these days?
well, the paya we are talking about does pretty much the same thing,it induces sleep, like any heavy meal.
I guess doctors are the only species who carry pagers these days...
you guys need to step up on technology..
;-)
I knew there was some kinda resemblance between malayalam and Urdu...
so Salt n Pepper has good Paya...or at least that makes you sleep..
Thats what I need to have before I go home after a game...
Aw c'mon, its such a good look. Goes with all my belts, vibrates everytime I need any stimulation.
I dont think I can live without it. :)
speaking of languages, where's vetti these days?
live without - the vibrations?
no idea...Vetti did a n_w on us..
or vice versa..
I think some of these guys transmogrify back and forth.
so sheky, you gonna open on sunday?
hey rom the paya was fantastic as always n its always a delight to eat those... ya they are in and out of my system already...
Hey roms why a cardboard when Shekhs is around.. just kidding buddy
probably..they are like Transformers...
Opening - dunno...all on Buchio Bhai Manikchand wala..
Why, do you need to prepare yourself for sledging?
Or use the new ball o open my wound.. :-)
Oh, you are gonna get a mouthful from me, regardless. :)
Whats buchia up to these days, I love that guy, he's so laidback.
I dont know who our ump is, maybe we should try and get swet to do our game.
Then you can even appeal with swear words in it.
you bet...Buchia is probably the most laid back person in our team..
chews his manikchand.....keeps merry..
I think I need to start chewing some too..
it'll add to the rugged look I was alluding to before.
Yeah, Swet would be cool..
we'll get him drunk the night before...
we'll appeal and god knows what he'll do...
hey, I can use some manikchand instead of jelly beans against you guys..
chew some...and spit around the pitch..
you think you'll get distracted?
If swet is our ump, it'll be manikchand city, dont need no jelly beans
You dont need to get swet drunk to extract entertainment. That guy's so awesome.
have you heard the commercial for Starburst?
Where the girl goes: What happened to your face?
shekhs, if you've played at cross maidan, nothing distracts you, least of it the filth on the ground.
No, is it a new one?
I just hung out with him once, and trust me...I know he's got it together man...he's a chic magnet...

c8w
is there such a thing as hogging blog space? Cuz if there is, we are guilty of that crime right now.
I think its been around for a few months..
so the girl goes: What happened to your face?
guy: I'm just chewing some starburst...yum...very sour...etc etc..
then he stops chewing...he's done chewing..
girl: Now whats wrong with your face/
guy: Oh that..I'm just ugly...yeah...just ugly..
c8w is such a conspiracy theorist :)
I have a strong suspicion vetti is balaji.
LOL, so atleast there's one commercial I can audition for!
So, maybe we can plagiarize the commercial and make one for manikchand in india, huh?
c8w,
I think Vetti is Ajit too..
Romeen, you think they'll ban us from blogging?
even worse, they might mutilate us at the next party.

I know how to impress Sridhar.
I'll just memorize a couple laws and recite them before the game.
hey c8w, are you going with us to milwaukee or not?
why do you guys think Ajit is vetti? I'm positive its not him.
c8w,
where you gona be this weekend..umpiring?
Ok, this has to be record of sorts, we are approaching a century of comments (granted most of them are crap), with only 5 people involved.
well,
I know Ajit blogs, as he mentioned that to me...he said he doesn't write anything...
And for some reason he was leaning heavily on wildcats...can't thiink of it now..
It could be Balaji too...sly Balaji..
will have to check with him on sunday..
really, then I'll type in more...of my valuable comments..
whats the number now?
I told you we'll blog the crap out this afternoon..
Balaji's not playing sunday
LOL
4 more to go sheky, dont do a tendulkar on us now....
nope...I'm no way close to Tendulkar..be that bloggin or batting...aah..maybe batting...
shekhs buddy practicing today ?
I'm sure your batting is as good as sachin's blogging.
whats with naren and practice? He's such a good kid.

ya just to show my cap that i am putting in some hard work for him to consider me to bowl a bit ;-), a bit of paya would also help ...

yeah I think I can beat Sachin in blogging....no doubt about that..
you think Sachin can beat me in batting...maybe...he has a slight edge I must say..
swet,
we are straight my friend..dont distract us..we are busy blogging..
man unfortunately my cap has made me take up an umpiring assignment for tomorrow, so i would be dragging my a** on sunday for sure....
ok, c8w, paradise it is the next time I see you.
That did come out right ,did it?
Naren, thats what all newbies have to do :)
Just kidding buddy, appreciate you taking that assignment.
C8W any change in the Schedule for tomorrow´s game at Hannover for my umpiring Assignment ??. did not hear from you again, so please update ..
sheky, what would sachin say if he were blogging?
Romeen, you making the rookie sweat?

can I go with you guys too?
you are right sheky, sachin would bore the crap out of us, just like I'm doing right now.
I'm already sweating, after what Tango and cmc said about Naren...you can clearly see that the man's left a big impact...
Naren, I'll buy you paya for the rest of your life, please take it easy on this rookie..
Sure, if you dont have a game that day.
Its a fun trip, sadiq loves to talk cricket and food, 2 of our top 3 passions.
yeah, he's our secret weapon thats not so secret anymore.
Man, we shouldnt have exposed him so much!

Iam gonna have to confirm what time Iam umpiring too... its often a 9am start before a d/n game, but this is CCI, a travelling team, and they usually play at 11am... so its all a bit confusing :-)
c8w
I think it will be fun to make a road trip with all the bloggers...
I'm sure we can bust a bunch of them on the trip..
ya,he's one of those guys whose feet leave the ground easily.
well, it also helps that he's half my age.
I've stopped trying to bust them, it makes them anxious and then they under perform.
We should just let them roam free, just like Jason Bourne.
I'm sure c8w has now left naren even more confused than before.
yep...you do have a point there......I think the blogs loses lot of them because we try to bust them...as they get concious nefore they type..
it should be natural you know...just type whatever comes into your head..
Naren, is there any way you can umpire on sunday....coz I really want to practice with you tomorrow....
c8w, confuse him enough so that he turns up for an umpiring job on sunday instead..
So,lets think of topics that can be discussed next week.
feet leaves the ground can also be taken in a different approach Cap, but my cap is going to lead the chart to put more pressure on me ...., its nice to see people like Tango n CMC talking about me, but there is a long way to go before the season comes to a close so let´s c..
C8W: Thanks for the update.
Sure, he can umpire our game.
Next week's Topics..
1. Can the player from one of the teams umpire the game?
2. Should the captain be given any more Paya, if he sledges too much?
3. Is Romeen really a doctor?
hey shekhs, where's Adi at?
no idea....
probably called an early day...
Ok, maybe I'll call it a day too.
I'm gonna go see B ultimatum too.
You have a good evening with your boys shekhs.
thanks Romeen...
have fun...guess you're hangin with Swet...ask him to have a drink for me..
later
naren, have fun umpiring tomorrow.
dont forget to warm up and stretch before the game, you may have to run very hard after a controversial decision :)
c8w, see you later.
No, not hanging with swet.
catch you later.
people can now breathe a sigh of relief and read some real stuff on the blog.
see ya guys ...
Later Naren..see you on sunday...might stop by tomorrow at hanover...you umpiring there right?
See ya c8w..
later bloggers...good luck for the weekend....have fun
Your umpire is Sridhar, BTW. And no, he doesnt drink, so youre out of luck there. (As for his jellybean or manikchand intake, youd have to consult Preetam).
***************
You can get him drunk with the laws or better yet....some thyru sapadu.
Good luck everyone....me will sit on my ass this weekend. Might be getting a walkover. Oh well!! with the way we are playing this might be the only way we can get some points on the board.
144 comments even b4 the first ball is bowled this weekend! Nice job Shekhs and Romeen :)
I did swet. Have to agree with you. Damon rocks!!

Thanks, we try you know :)
Swet/ Romeen,
I'm extremely jealous.... :-(
Now I got to see the movie...
Ram,
Next time, we'll page you when we go on a rampage... :-)
Romeen, Shekhs, and two other people kudos to you. The blog is lively only because of you. Shekhs i'm going to call your boss, romeen i don't know how you find so much time in your hand. swetal is seth. and no offense to rest of the people.
naren, sorry forgot to mention you.
Tushar,
You home brutha?
Thanks man....we try... :-)
Did you guys go out and eat?
Swetal,
Saw BU on friday 2nd show. Damn! that was one heck of a movie. Mine was the biggest whistle after the fight with the Moroccon (Desh).
The bourne trilogy, for me, stands on par with the Lord of the Rings series. Great movie guys.
Reading this blog made a Vegitarian like me even hungry for Paya.
I agree with Swetal - Bourne Ulitimatum is awesome trilogy.
any update on the games guys?
Challengers v/s wildcats
Wow, that no. 10 batsman for PCC really came through! Nice knock, and congrats on a big win for Madhu and team.

Phoenix vs Bears update
Tango, all your predictions came true, Challengers batted first and Sanjay was a huge factor.
Not all RoRo, I predicted the Wildcats to beat the Challengers 'silly'.
Anyway, well done Challengers.
Asmar,
I think the weekly summary is incorrect. If you read it carefully, it is Pak Gym who accidentally entered it in as a loss in the summary.
Here's to wishful thinking on our part....
Aditya,
lol...No wishful thinking buddy, just like to get a clear picture of the rankings before we play you guys this weekend.
Great win for your team against Bears. Looking forward to our game on Sunday!! It should be a good one!
Regards,
Asmar
Aditya,
I see you've scored your second 50 of the season last weekend. Well congrats!
But, I'd like to see you scoring big against good bowling attacks too (I don't really count United - Mehul as a good bowling attack).
Lets see what kind of numbers you put up against Muslim Gymkhana, St.Louis and Wildcats.
Adi,
your prediction was right too. Too bad it wasnt part of the contest between you and me :)
Wanna restart our lil contest?
Sheky, where are you bud?
Rom,
Thanks for the small update and giving us the opportunity to type the report.. :-)
Report coming up..
Please feel free to add your comments and correct me if I missed something.
Busy monday morning...
Match Report – Challengers Vs. Wildcats – 08/05/2007
WP # 4
PS:
We are planning to hire Tango as out Psychological consultant.
Adi,
Thanks for the supoort and prediction...we got your back!!
Good knock bud!!
Keep it real!
Sheks,
Good summary except for one glaring error. I wish I had made 40-50! I made only 21, just seemed like I stayed there forever. :)
Good tight bowling, and inability to place the ball well on my part.
Anyways, see you tomorrow. We'll get some drinks after the game. Maybe we can get some of the united/purdue guys to go with us too. Swet has confrimed already.
*confirmed
Rom,
Sorry bud, it seemed like you scored a lot.
You played some nice shots inside out over the cover, some fluent drives.
Yep, confirmed for tomorrow.
Lets hang after the night game..!
Romeen,
Yeah, I got that prediction correct. I will put up predictions shortly. I've been so busy lately, I just haven't had much of an opporunity to get on the blogs.
Tango,
Thanks. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to give you your wish (and mine!) and put up some good numbers for the last 4 games.
My first priority at this point is that 4 points that comes with each game.
Asmar,
Do we have Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Allrounder awards at the end of the season ?? If not, we need to have ...
Some players are giving terrific and consistent performances and the league needs to recognise their performances ...
Aditya,
Never played Golf in my life!! You have me confused with Aamir bhai (tall fast bowler).
-Asmar
Yes. Asmar. Sorry. I got confused. My bad. Do pass on my message to him though. :-)
Now I'm going to have to do my research on you!!!
Do we have Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Allrounder awards at the end of the season ?? If not, we need to have ...
If we were to distribute these awards today, who would you give them to?
Well ... Tango bhai ..
Adi: Good win for you guys and a good knock too from you..
Shekhs: Good summary from you on the game..
the love affair between sheks and romeen is at epic proportions.
romeo(romeen)& sheks(juliet)didn't luv eachother this much.
RoRo, have you been cheating on me? :)
love affair at epic proportions? did Shekhs and Romeen end their platonic relationship?
Saw the Borne Ultimatum on Sunday. Wow, that was some kick-ass action. Really enjoyed that one.
Thanks Naren. Looks like you're not so much of a secret anymore. Sorry buddy, but remember, there's always paya!!
Can anyone shed light on a few others?
Just saw the Challengers scorecard. Tushar, Shekhs, Sanjay, Bhavesh - well played guys.
Adi,
Me being a secret or not i dont mind, may be people start looking at how i perform a bit more than usual.
Tango, there's enough love to go around for everybody, I'm a hippie at heart you know :)
cmc, thanks for calling me romeo, havent been called that in a while.
Romeen, in total agreement with you on that one.
Naren,
If you're looking for me to teach you, then you're taking a few steps backwards!
Preetam,
Good point, and the crux of my motivation behind my question! Unfortunately, it's mainly teammates who will recognize under-rated players. That is why I ask, because we should definitely get those names out there a little bit more. Good players deserve kudos.
Aditya,
No one from your team is underrated. You guys always get unnecessary hype. Priyank is a very good player, but he ain't underrated or anything.
And who would you nominate Tango? I did say under-rated, not anonymous!
Lot of luv in here fellas...
missed out the fun...so much for a free friday...its been a helluva monday..
cmc, nice one...twisted but funny...hey next time, I'll be Romeo..
Preetam,
I played Div 2 mostly, as this is my first year in Div 1.
I've always said that Subbu is one of the most under rated players in Div & Div 2 combined.
I've seen a lot of them play in Div 2, but I agree that Subbu doesn't get the attention he deserves..
