Hey s_d,
India did prove that we are not chokers though I had the same feeling.
Good luck to all playing this week.

Samir,

The only reason am happy for Piyush is that this will keep the great Turbinator out of the squad ! I do not ever want to see that BUM play for India again.

Swetal,
Yes, I agree with you. I'm glad he's out of the squad and hope it remains that way.

My Div 2 Picks

Advancers/Tigers >> Advancers
Reason: Tigers are just pathetic.

Jolly Rovers/IIT >> Jolly Rovers
Reason: IIT is good at Washington Park and this game is on the road.

Springfield/Q.C. Kings >> Q.C. kings
Reason: QC has one of the easiest schedule and this one is not any different. Teams like Springfield are a disgrace. They deserve to be in Division 3.

NoStars/Peoria >> Peoria Cricket
Reason: They are just like there name No Stars and hence no win against PCC.

Jaguars/Illinois CC >> Illinois CC
Reason: IL can win if they can bring 11 players to the field. This team is seriously lacking personal sacrifice and team commitment. Jaguars on other hand is a 1 man show and a red headed step child of mighty IIT.

Arsenal/Raiders >> Raiders
Reason: Raiders of the Lost Ark Win. Swetal should have taken a year off.

Collinsville/Chicago Acers >> Collinsville
Reason: Faraz scores a ton but cannot save his Racer's from another defeat. My bet is that Collinsville will make playoff this year.

Chicago Giants Chicago Cricket Club >> Chicago Cricket Club
Reason: It's not that CCC is good but it's more for the fact that Giants are a mess 0-4 in last 4 games. Playing like Chicago Midgets this year. They won't even make the playoffs.

Lucky XI West Suburban XI >> Lucky XI
Reason: WS XI is a mess, did I say Div 3 bound .....

Madison Cricket Club Warriors >> Madison Cricket Club
Reason: Warriors had a great shocking win against Arsenal but that is it for them. I will be surprised if they win more than 2 games total.

CCI SIUE Cricket Club >> SIUE Cricket Club
Reason: #1 Heat, #2 Grass Bigger than Sears, #3 they are playing CCI another pathetic Div 2 team who should be in Div 3.

Royals- wildcats summary:

WC won the toss and decided to bat. Lost their first wicket early following which Balaji and Sumeet stabilized the innings with some sensible batting. However, both departed within a few minutes of each other, the Royals tightened the screws and the wildcats were now precariously placed at 70 for 4 in about 16-17 overs. Then came a cosolidation job from Vikram (a patient and invaluable knock) and Ajit that took the WC to the other (and safer) side of the drinks interval. After Vikram left, Vinod just blasted some boundaries, but it was Ajit who just got stuck into the bowling. He just took the attack apart and brought up a scintillating century with a six off the last ball of the innings! The WC finished with a very healthy 243.
The Royals started patiently but Giri and Vinod bowled well. Sumeet came in to bowl and removed the dangerous looking Anand. Naren the newbie (well, not so new anymore and improving exponentially with each game) took a five-fer to reduce the Royals to 100 for 8. The game was not over yet, there was an 8th wicket partnership with some very good batting that took the score to about 140. Eventually, the WC were able to wrap the innings up for 148 or so.
The Royals are a fun team to play with, the comments from the sidelines always bring a smile to your face, even if you are the victim of their jokes!
Afroze looked solid in his role as umpire.
