AL Tourney-

1 Challengers
2 Pak Gymkhana
3 MDS Cricket
4 Muslim Gymkhana
5 Wildcats
6 Royals
7 Chargers
8 Flames

Semis- Challengers Vs. Wildcats (I know you're smiling now Romeen)
Pak Vs. MDS

Finals
Challengers Vs. MDS (yes an upset..!!)

Oh yeah MDS is gonna win this all the way.

Nope, I'm not an MDS fan, just playing Pundit.

Senor' Rup,
For Flames to be 1, they have to win both the games, which I think is tough in a 20-20 game.

I think Flames can win it all, no doubt, but I still put my money on MDS.

Muneer, where's my money?
:-)

Just for the record, Pak Gym has not lost any night match in the last 2 years! I don't know if that means that the law of averages is gonna catch up with us or that we're on the way to another championship ;).

Bears are in the top 8 as well... we won 2 out 3 in group play, just couldnt enter the scores..."

Sorry anon, didnt notice that.
We'll have to take chargers out of the picture then.

Its about time you guys started entering the score huh. :-)

Jagga, give the turkey some love..

Rup,
Its just my prediction....you dont have to take it personal.

You can have your own !

I can always predict that you'll lose one, can't I ? Maybe I'm one of your opponents..

Take it easy Rup..

Yep he expects that the ICC will say "here Mr. DH half a million dollars for screwing up the only test match in 129 year history."

JaggiDa, a few questions have been asked and no replies from u... uncharacteristic of u.

Jaggi is not around until Monday - he has some tests at school. That's why he is not responding. I don't think he is checking anything here.

Jaggi said...

Thank you Hari. BTW, u guys are doing an awesome job. Somebody earlier said "Hari for President", I say "Why not"

Y'all..
I'm done blogging for the week.

Goodluck for the weekend!

Keep it real !!!

See you at SOUNDBAR..

This whole situation is unfortunate. I agree that if it is a charity event, then we should be participating. On the website, it says that the MCC management was not contacted at all. Hmmm... I am not going to jump to any conclusions till I hear all the angles. Jaggi,Hari.. will wait to hear from u guys.
I wonder if teams bound to playoffs will risk playing this one. Why cant we all get along !!

Jaggi said...

Adnan.. I respect your opinion. How come you were contacted a week before and not MCC management? Is there any truth to what the management is claiming?

Jaggi said...

Thanks Adnan. I looked up USACA's website to see if they have any info and couldnt find any. One wonders why USACA did not contact the MCC management, as the management is proclaiming.
Dude Jaggi, u going to face a storm when u get back.
Hari, you in the management? We need answers.

Jaggi said...

Good point Adnan. My only concern is that our website says that we were never contacted till now. Somebody is lying here, I just hope its not us.
I really want an official explaination for this, not just on the blog.

hari said...

I'm not part of the management. I'm just a player in the league and have no insight in to the details of this thing. The blog is not an official channel for the management to communicate ( as Jaggi had posted sometime back). My feeling is that the mgmt is reading what is written here - but, i won't expect any official response here. Maybe Jaggi, when he returns can shed some light.

Jaggi said...

Thanks Andan and Hari. I was speaking to a few guys in my team and one of them brought up an interesting angle. How can USACA support this event if Azhar is playing in it? Azhar is banned by ICC from participating in any games with its member and USACA is affiliated with ICC. He thinks that is the reason why we dont see it on USACA's website, which is a very interesting twist.
Hmm... the plot thickens. This is what happens when you have a bye week and and the weather is crappy outside. Perfect weather for cutting chai and vada paw

Raheel said...

Azharuddin has not been banned by ICC - only BCCI and he can't represent any team on international or first class level. This match is neither - sometime back he played in a seniors match in Pakistan and was allowed to do so since it was not international / first class. Saleem Malik on the other hand has been banned by PCB (Justice Qayyum Report) to play any sort of cricket - so technically he can't even play gully-cricket ;).

Pak has already uploaded scorecard, any score updates on other matches? St. Louis v Rogers Park was washed out. So Flames got beaten easily? Bakhshi 50 and all the top/middle order contributing to get 229 with ease at the end (5 down ~8 ovs to spare).
