New Pitches at Washington Park

Those of you who have games at Washington Park on the week of June 3rd: Be prepared for the sweet smell of fresh cement ( is there such a smell?!).Tariq confirmed today that new pitches are going to be laid on grounds 2, 3 and 4 of Washington Park on May 22 and 23. Workers are going to rip out the existing cement pitches and fill in a brand new pitch. So, those of you who are in to watching that sort of stuff can show up at the ground on those two days! You won't be alone. Tariq says he plans to be there too. That is why he is the president and I'm just a lousy blog writer.

I hope he is planning to be there on his own expense :)

His expense or not, I hope he gets the job done. Infact, I think we should probably pay the guys running the league.
Right now, I would love to get more involved, but do not have the time for it. I tip my hat to these guys running the league at their own time.

I absolutely agree with the person that said that these guys should be paid for their efforts. And since we are not paying them, we should atleast appreciate what they do and not get in their way by making stupid comments.

Maybe you are right. If we pay them they would stop ripping off the league and maybe will do a better job at running this organization.

We desis are all used to getting free stuff. If someone is doing well, instead of appreciating we cry and complaint. Give Tariq and his folks the credit they deserve. This by far is one of the best organized league.
At the end of the day, enjoy the cricket game and relax, if not try to contribute yourself in one of the million ways out, to help the league become a better one.
Stop being sarcastic.....

Frankly, I have seen a lot more whiners than productive people.
I wont call this the greatest league, but its not too bad either. I am currently a student, plan to get involved as soon as I graduate. Am encouraged by some of the new faces in the management.

Its not easy managing a league with all the trials and tribulations. Current team deserves credit for what they have done.
