Last week in Div 1, half of the matches were nail-biters. Bears-Rogers Park, Mil - Pak Gym, WildCats-Muslim Gym, while the other ended in total domination by one team.
Div 2 has been very much competitive in itself, with all the teams capable of being in the top-6.
Div 30-30 had a major disappointing result with last year champs Dee-Park getting allout for meager 59 and losing comprehensively. Juggernauts continue their march towards being the best team in this division.
Interesting matches coming up this weekend, so get on with your predictions!!
Guys,
ReplyDeleteA new page has been added to the website, which will show the top wicketkeepers for each tournament. Something for one of thankless jobs in Cricket ..
Let us know your feedback ..
On behalf of the wicketkeepers - Thank you!
ReplyDeleteSo the League Exclusivity Rule is turned off.. How do people feel about that.. Would it be good for MwCC or is it going to increase the Hired Guns approach in Division 1 and Division 2??
ReplyDeleteAlso how are the cricket balls this year??
Overall, it will be good for quality of cricket - I believe.
ReplyDeleteIn order to curb the hired gun approach, if we increase the required games to qualify for playoffs - we will start to have folks that that will need to choose primary teams / leagues.
And with certain leagues having offset timings (like starting games @ 8:30, noon, 1pm), there is already a lower possibility of overlaps.
And it will help save Div2!!
So overall it seems like a good thing.
Challengers losing to WC .. That was an upset !!
ReplyDeleteAjit Sir seems to be on fire this season .. Sir, can you coach us?

The best thing that an MVP can come up with to excite things... are the balls good??????.
No wonder some good guys left and more will leave soon as long as arrogance rather than whats good for cricket runs MWCC.

ReplyDeleteBud, I'm blogging as a fellow blogger and not as a league president.
We want all the bloggers to come back and get this blog going.
I miss blogging myself. LEts start it now..you and I... :-)
There is no point hearing only the good stuff, we want to hear the criticisms as well. Thats how we get better.
Of course, nothing is perfect, we can only try to get better.
So, you and I if we bring out the criticisms, the mangement should take it in good spirits and act on it.
Lets do this..
Shekhs
O.K. MR Prezdent..lets go ...i wanna ask why is ur mangement enforcing the laws without asking any captain's .......such as ACC players r allowed in our league in the middle of the season when u suspend 2 players 4 playing in the ACC in the begining of the season.....hmm Smell'ssomething fishy here ....and then urs mangement enforce another law that ACC players should play 6 games for being eligble to play in the playoffs ........did ur mangement ask anyone b4 enforcing these laws or does ur mangement don't give a F..... about anything........PLz answer Mr. PREz
