This is my list of things I think we need to figure out to have this game. I've put names against people who have taken responsibility. Can you guys please volunteer for other items that have ?? by them?
Once we get updates from Romeen on dates, etc, then Preetam you and Romo can organize the players. Pick 2 captains... I suggest Romeen as one, maybe Rup or someone as the other. Whatever you guys want. And then divide teams equally for keepers / bowlers / batsman, etc.
LOL. We can try.... but what can we suggest to them in return? We don't exactly have banner space or advertising hoarding!! :-) I'm not sure Naren abusing his silent partner role, or us calling and asking them for free food will get the job done... what say?

Sunday the 26th of August is doable at hanover Park starting after the day game. The cost is approximately $300 for the ground with lights. Let me know if that Saturday is good for everyone, so I can confirm the Ground. Romeen can you please gather availability from all of the bloggers interested and give me a call, if Sunday 26th of Aug is ok with everyone. Saturday is no fly, since we have a game scheduled on the ground for next Saturday as well as Saturday after Labor Day. So the best day available is Sunday Night, 26th of August.
Also can you kindly add 1 more player who will be playing the Game, a fellow blogger, who does not want to reveal his identity..:)
Shiraz: it seems that you have a game on the 26th August and not on that given saturday, unless there is a change in the schedule which is not reflected in the MCC Site.
I am out for the Blogger's Ball game which is being scheduled for 26th due to the fact that we will be playing QC Kings in WP that day - it will be hard to get to HP right after the game.

Actually, I was visiting some friends this weekend, and logged in to check the scores. Didn't realize that she was logged into Gmail, and so it used her credentials. I was hoping it would be skipped as "Pallavi" is new to blogging, but I guess not. My bad, and I'm likely to catch some flak for it (NW, Tango, Shekhs, Romeen???), but that was me.
Adi, I just moved the game discussion here, the other thread is for this week's games. I think you are right, I'll give Shiraz a call, we'll have to discuss other dtaes. Other venues may not work, I think our best bet is a night game on a weeknight.
Whatever you decide / work out sounds good. You're probably right about date / venue. How about a game during the long weekend? Maybe on Monday? Either way, I guess our best bet is to float a date, see the response, and try again until we get one that works!
I spoke with Shiraz, he'll try and see if other nights are available, although its starting to look bleak cuz a lot of AL games have been rain-interrupted and need to be completed. We'll see, we'll give it our best shot.
Just an FYI on the availability of Hanover Park. I know Romeen called and told me that Sunday night was a little difficult due to the un-availability of several bloggers. Also due to extreme down-pours this week and the last, we have several games of the AL Tournamnet still pending completion. According to the league, completing some of those games will be the priority for us. Therefore, we might have to wait until at least after the Long Weekend to see what days can we schedule a game for the bloggers. For now, we would have to wait until after the long weekend to see if we can schedule something in September.
